Overview

An AI-driven detection engine with a customized YOLO-based parcel recognition algorithm makes it quick and easy to find parcels in busy logistics settings. Using OTSU thresholding and edge fusion, advanced edge segmentation sharpens parcel boundaries. Second-order edge detection, on the other hand, makes it easier to separate stacked items. With multi-area positioning and intelligent volume control across infeed sections, the system ensures precise, consistent singulation of varied parcel types and sizes.

The main part of the singulation conveyor is a modular array of narrow belts that can be driven independently and are arranged in rows and columns. Each belt can move at different speeds and in different directions, which lets you control them in real time. The system separates, aligns, and centers parcels that are not in a straight line by changing the speed and timing of the belt. This creates a smooth, single-lane flow that is best for sorting and scanning downstream

Working Stages of Parcel Singulation

Bulk Entry

Bulk Entry

Packages come in a random order, with different sizes and orientations.

Initial Separation

Initial Separation

Speed-differentiated belts begin to spread parcels apart—both side-to-side and front-to-back—breaking up clusters.

Alignment & Centering

Alignment & Centering

Mid-zone belts gently push and steer packages toward the centerline, fixing their position and orientation.

Singulation & Spacing

Singulation & Spacing

Downstream belts use controlled acceleration and deceleration to keep the space between parcels the same.

Final Output

Final Output

A smooth, single-lane stream of parcels with evenly spaced gaps comes out, ready to be scanned, weighed, or sorted downstream.
