The 3D Smart Sorter employs guided multi-tiered tracks, enabling smart bots to move both horizontally along aisles and vertically between levels. Each bot is equipped with:

The package comes in through infeed conveyors and goes through a high-speed barcode scanner, a 3D dimensioning profiler, and an inline weighing conveyor. Data syncs with WMS/WCS so that decisions can be made right away.

Parcel assigned to a smart bot that is available and loaded through a cross-conveyor interface.

Bots keep a 500mm safety gap, use encoders and sensors to find their way, and move up and down as needed.

Bot lines up with the destination chute, the cross-conveyor turns on to push the package out to the left or right, and sensors on the chute check that the drop was successful.

Bot goes down to the base level and waits in line for the next job.
